FHIR Device Resource

A type of manufactured item used in healthcare, such as an implant or medical device. This page documents the Device resource as served by the mock.health synthetic FHIR R4 sandbox — 4 search parameters, US Core 6.1 profiling, and the elements accepted on write.

Endpoints

• GET https://api.mock.health/fhir/Device — search
• GET https://api.mock.health/fhir/Device/{id} — read by logical id
• POST https://api.mock.health/fhir/Device — create (Pro)
• PUT https://api.mock.health/fhir/Device/{id} — update (Pro)

Search parameters

• patient (reference) — Patient associated with the device
• identifier (token) — Device identifier (UDI)
• type (token) — Device type code
• status (token) — active | inactive | entered-in-error

Write elements

Fields accepted when creating or updating a Device. Required elements are base FHIR cardinality; the rest are US Core must-support.

• type (CodeableConcept) — Device type code (SNOMED CT)
• patient (Reference(Patient)) — Patient the device is associated with
• udiCarrier (BackboneElement[]) — Unique Device Identifier barcode data
